MS Milwaukee sailor's cap tally

Worn on the "Donald Duck" style caps of sailors aboard the MS Milwaukee which sailed out of Hamburg between 1935 and 1945 under the Hamburg-America Line. Eva Braun was aboard this ship when it sailed to Norway in 1939.

period worn Volkssturm armband

I know not everybody is going to be impressed with a lowly old Volkssturm armband but to find one that was actually period worn is not all too easy. I find it absolutely fascinating that the German High Command saw the writing on the wall and turned to part of their civilian population to save the Reich from complete (however inevitable) ruin.
